In Vanha Kurimo, the time stops

When you enter the picturesque log dining room of the private restaurant Vanha Kurimo, the time seems to stop. It is an ideal place to gather with friends or family. We think that special moments of life deserve to be marked in unique surroundings and with delicious food. A meal in Vanha Kurimo offers a travelling group a pleasant and unforgettable break.

There is room for 50 diners around the tables of the log dining room, and together with all the serving areas, the restaurant can host up to 100 diners. The servings are planned considering the local traditions and making the most of locally produced food.

Meal suggestions for groups of a minimum of 25 diners:

Green salad, mushroom salad, beetroot and apple salad, raw pickled rainbow trout, smoked fish, reindeer casserole of Vanha Kurimo, stewed root vegetables, boiled potatoes, farmer’s rye bread, barley flat bread, low-fat spread, berry fool, home-brew, milk, squash juice and water

2. Home-made food from the buffet, 25,90 € per person
Vegetable salad, mushroom salad, ham and macaroni salad, meat stew, or similar meat dish, stewed root vegetables, boiled potatoes, farmer’s rye bread, barley flat bread, low-fat spread, berry fool, home-brew, milk, squash juice and water

3. Soup with salads and snacks from the buffet, 25,90 € per person
Green salad, mushroom salad, marinated rufous milk-caps, smoked fish, farmer’s rye bread, barley flat bread, salty salmon pies, carrot pies, pearl barley pies, low-fat spread, berry fool, home-brew, milk, squash juice and water
Soup of your choice: Creamy salmon soup, salmon soup from Kainuu, cheese and smoked reindeer soup, meat soup, smoked meat soup
